Dr. Llyod Mason
A native of Hazlehurst, Georgia, began practicing Optometry in 1995. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Brewton-Parker College in 1991 and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1995. He completed an internship at a specialty contact lens practice in Germantown, TN, and an internship in ocular disease at OMNI Eye Services in Atlanta, GA. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association, having served as president of the Southern District of Optometrists. He has also served as a GOA legislative key person. His civic activities include serving as a director of the Hazlehurst Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as Chairman of the Hospital Authority, and has been involved with the local Rotary club. He and his family are members of Southside Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. He is married to Lisa Mason, who teaches in the Jeff Davis County School System, and they have 3 children, Brittany, Hannah, and Alex. They are also proud grandparents of their newest grandson, Mason. When not working with patients, he enjoys spending time with his family and doing anything that involves being outside.
Dr. Kyle Varnadoe
A native of Hazlehurst, Georgia, Dr. Varnadoe graduated from Valdosta State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to attend the University of Alabama, Birmingham School of Optometry, where he received his Doctorate of Optometry in 2013. Dr.
Varnadoe completed his internships at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, Dublin Eye Associates, and Southern EyeCare. While interning, he specialized in primary eye care, ocular disease management, specialty contact lenses, pediatric eye care, vision training, and the
treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Georgia Optometric Association, and the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. His civic activities include previously
serving on the Jeff Davis Hospital Authority. He currently serves on the Jeff Davis Recreation Department Board and volunteers as a community coach with the Jeff Davis High School football team. Dr. Varnadoe is married to Kellie Wood Varnadoe of Hazlehurst, and they have one daughter, Charlee Kate. He and his family are members of Southside Baptist Church, where he serves as Life Group leader and a deacon. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and spending quality time with his family.
